by Dr. Mochamad Bruri Triyono

Dear Colleagues, Scholars, Practitioners, and Partners in Technical and Vocational Education and Training,

It is my great honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 2026 AASVET Conference, which will be held at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) from 28–30 October 2026.

The AASVET Conference has long served as an important platform for scholars, policymakers, educators, and industry practitioners to exchange ideas and advance knowledge in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). As we face rapid technological transformation, shifting labor market dynamics, and global sustainability challenges, the role of TVET has become more crucial than ever.

The theme of this year's conference, "Transforming TVET for Sustainable and AI-Empowered Workforce Market: Redefining Skills, Pedagogies, and Lifelong Learning Ecosystems," reflects the urgent need to rethink how vocational education systems prepare individuals and societies for the future. Artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and green transitions are reshaping the nature of work. Consequently, TVET institutions must continuously innovate in curriculum design, pedagogy, industry collaboration, and lifelong learning pathways.

Through keynote lectures, research presentations, panel discussions, and collaborative networking opportunities, AASVET 2026 aims to foster meaningful dialogue and interdisciplinary collaboration that will contribute to more inclusive, resilient, and future-ready TVET ecosystems.

I warmly invite researchers, educators, policymakers, industry leaders, and students from across the world to join us in Taipei for this important gathering. Your participation will help shape the future direction of TVET in building a sustainable and AI-empowered workforce.

On behalf of the organizing committee, I look forward to welcoming you to AASVET 2026 at NTUST and to engaging in inspiring discussions that will drive innovation and transformation in TVET.

Warm regards,
Prof. Dr. Mochamad Bruri Triyono
AASVET President
